Cinnamon Rolls

When you first hear about cinnamon rolls, you think about the never-ending amounts of butter and sugar.

Surprisingly, the recipe I used only consisted of a bunch of sugar.

I used Peter Reinhart’s Artisan Breads Every Day recipe for Sweet Rolls.

The dough was incredibly easy to make. And it rose like crazy!

After:

It took me a while to roll out… but I eventually got there.

Then I added the cinnamon sugar. (TIP: PILE IT ON!!!)

Roll…

And cut…

My cinnamon rolls were pretty small. And I put them in cupcake liners in honor of National Cupcake Week 🙂

Bake and Enjoy!

These are the “healthier” cinnamon rolls.

Not a ton of butter or sugar.

The only downside is stuffing your face.

*I swear, I probably ate a 1/4 of the recipe.

Hahahaha.

Overall, I really like the recipe. The dough was more like bread as opposed to a roll. Also, I recommend putting lots of cinnamon sugar in the filling!

I definitely want to try this recipe again sometime in the future.
